This document contains an overview of how to use DiskTracker™ to automatically scan and mount discs stored in a PowerFile DVD Jukebox. The PowerFile jukebox is an impressive DVD changer with one or two drives (to allow multiple discs to be mounted at once), a high speed IEEE-1394 (FireWire) interface, and workgroup sharing. Chain multiple changers together and use DiskTracker to keep track of the resulting massive storage capacity!
DiskTracker 2.1.1 has been tested with the PowerFile C200 Studio and PowerFile C200S Solo units.
It is recommended that version 1.4 or later of the PowerFile software be used when scanning Jukeboxes with DiskTracker.

Scanning the Entire Contents of a PowerFile Jukebox
DiskTracker 2.1.1 can automatically scan the entire contents of a PowerFile DVD Jukebox. This creates a handy record of the contents of every disc within the changer and makes for exceptionally fast searching and browsing of a Jukebox's contents.
To scan the entire contents of a PowerFile DVD Jukebox:
1.) If attempting to scan a C200 Jukebox hosted by another machine on the network, first connect to that machine using the PowerFile MediaFinder. If the Jukebox is connected to the machine through the FireWire interface, there is no neeed to open MediaFinder.
2.) Select "Scan Mounted Volume…" from the "Scan" menu.
3.) Each PowerFile Jukebox will appear as an item in the "Scan Mounted Volume…" dialog box list.
4.) Select one or more Jukeboxes (command-click to select multiple items) from the dialog box and click the "Scan" button to start a scan of the changer.
Troubleshooting
There are several steps you can take to improve the likelyhood of a completely unattended PowerFile Jukebox scan. While no one of these steps are required, try them in the event of difficulty with the scanner.
1.) Disable "Audio CD AutoPlay" and "CD-ROM AutoPlay" in the QuickTime Control Panel. You may have to reboot after altering these settings.
2.) Disable File Sharing.
3.) In DiskTracker's "Disk Scanner Preferences…" dialog box, under the "Match disks to catalogs with the same:", uncheck both "Name" and "Creation Date".
4.) Leave DiskTracker in the foreground and do not allow any other users to access the PowerFile DVD Jukebox during the scan process.
Using DiskTracker to Mount Discs in a PowerFile DVD Jukebox
The PowerFile DVD Jukebox automatically mounts discs as needed by DiskTracker. Simply use DiskTracker's standard "Launch", "Show In Finder", "Get Finder Info…", and "Sharing…" commands (in the Item menu) and the PowerFile Jukebox will load up the required disk.
